Cricket at Chiddingfold CC

Welcome to Chiddingfold Cricket Club.

Our aim is to provide as much fun, high-quality cricket to as many people as possible. We have over 350 members playing in three sections: juniors, ladies, and mens.

With over 250 members, our juniors is one of the largest setups in the area. We run matches and coaching sessions for boys and girls U7 through to U17. Age groups are coached to a very high standard, led by Level II ECB coaches. We are Clubmark accredited. Our top boys and girls aim to trial for Surrey CCC.

Our Ladies Squad is the largest in Surrey, currently playing softball cricket festivals and hardball matches across the county.

The men run two adult teams on Saturdays and a full Sunday fixture list. The First XI plays in Division 2 of the I’Anson Cricket League and a mid-week evening 20/20 competition. The Second XI plays in Division 4 of the I’Anson League.

In 2021 we launched our men's Indoor VI, playing matches in the Surrey Slam ICL Oct through to Dec.

Facilities and Ground
Home matches are played at the Club’s picturesque Woodside Road ground. Over the last decade, we have invested over a quarter of a million pounds into facilities including a refurbished pavilion, a new state-of-the-art double lane practice net, new ground equipment, covers, and improved drainage.

All facilities are available to members to use at their discretion.

Committee and Club Constitution
CCC is run by a committee of about 10 volunteers; the Club does not have any employees. Our AGM is held in January to appoint the Committee who meet monthly to manage and run the Club’s affairs.

We always encourage people to get involved, so please let the committee know if you want to volunteer, coach (the Club will pay for you to become ECB qualified), assist with ground preparation or organise a social event.

Events
The Club runs social and fundraising events throughout the year. The main ones being the end of year Awards Night held on the final day of the season and the Dinner Dance which is a black tie event held in late autumn.

We also enjoy the considerable support of local sponsors including our Club sponsors, The Crown Inn, and most teams can be found post match enjoying a drink in there. Seymours Estate Agents generously sponsors our junior section.

Over the August bank holiday, the Club plays an annual fixture against Glusburn CC, a Yorkshire club similar to CCC. These matches have been running since the 1970’s and alternate home and away.

Useful Websites and Communication
Club admin is done through the website, www.chiddcc.uk. The site is provided on the Pitchero platform - members can manage availability; make payments and view fixtures and results. Please sign up to the website to ensure you are on all communications.

We hope you enjoy playing cricket at CCC.
